Message from the Headteacher

We wish you a very warm welcome to the Black Horse Hill Infant School website and hope that by using the site you will get a picture of our vision, aims and the values we uphold. Black Horse Hill Infant School is a great place to be a learner!

Children at Black Horse Hill Infant School are happy and eager to come to school because they feel safe, valued and cared for. The children know they will be expected to try their best, never give up and “be the best that they can be”.

Our talented staff use their expertise and experience to provide a creative curriculum which engages and motivates the children into taking the next step in their learning. We know our young children particularly enjoy learning outdoors and that is why we have worked hard to develop our outdoor spaces.

We firmly believe that our role is to enable all children to reach their potential and develop important skills for the future. Our school is far more than a place to work and learn. It is a place where our young children build relationships with other people, find out how to work collaboratively, learn to persevere when faced with challenges and learn to make a positive contribution to our school community.

The positive support of our parents and governors is very important to us at Black Horse Hill Infant School and we recognise the significant benefits to our pupils of these partnerships. This section will give you a flavour of life at Black Horse Hill Infant School, but really to get to know the school I would recommend you come and visit us during the school day.

Julie Morris, Headteacher.
