Fixed Term Contract for One Year (with the possibility of the contract being extended to continue to support the pupil as they move to the Junior School.)

The Governors at Black Horse Hill Infant  School are looking to appoint a suitably skilled, enthusiastic and well-motivated Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with physical disabilities. The role of the successful candidate will be to enable a child with special needs to access learning and provision in a mainstream school. The role will involve manual handling and a level of intimate care. Training will be provided.

The successful candidate will have:

  •          A warm personality, sense of humour and be a team player.
  •          A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding and commitment to the education of young children.
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEN and facilitating their access to the curriculum.
